really?
Reading the PioLog this week, I notice the blurb on the second page called “Swine Flu Stats,” which, among other things, very clearly emphasizes that no one at L&C has died from the swine flu. I can only imagine that it is in response to last week’s COMEDY blurb on the COMEDY page, which insinuated that a Lewis and Clark student had died as a result of the horrible affliction. This week’s stats, which come from Student Health Services, note that at least two parents called the school “in a panic.” After reading last week’s comedy article.
At least two of my peers (or–dare I imagine–I?) have parents who do not understand satire.
Also, Student Health Services, what the hell is this? And this? I’m glad SHS is there to discredit these baseless falsehoods perpetuated by evil, hateful comedy writers. SWINE FLU IS SERIOUS BUSINESS IT WILL GIVE YOU A MILD FEVER AND MAYBE A COUGH; IT IS NOT A LAUGHING MATTER. I KNOW SOMEONE WHO MISSED 2 DAYS OF CLASS BECAUSE OF IT.
On the other hand, that means that at least two people read the PioLog, so I guess there’s that.
Pshaw, I missed THREE days!
